for real

I know I'm interested in getting into a business (or multiple businesses-- let's be honest, people love/hate writers too) that is entirely based on opinion. Casting is subjective. Reviews are subjective, even when they should be objective.

But even when you don't know some girl who wrote a few lines about you on a blog that's not even gained hyper-noteriety yet, when she reiterates multiple times that you "lack depth" and discusses your "lack of acting ability,"

IT SUCKS.

Do you know who she is? You really should try to consider the source. If it's OHhh - Chris Clark or Dave Tinny (who have casted you in serious roles so they obviously trust your "lack of depth" ;) ) Then yeah, maybe take them seriously. For all you know, this girl is a Theater Minor at BYU because she was the lead in her high school's regrettable production of Les Mis. in Wellington, Ohio (population 50,000) and probably THINKS she knows what she's talking about and, because she got a solid 3 on the AP English test put forth her services to the blog to WRITE REVIEWS!! Or maybe she's the Daily Universe theater critic. That's not much better.

Seriously.

And if it bothers you so badly - why are you publicizing her stupid review on facebook, twitter AND your blog? Eh? You're only validating her by letting it get to you.

I would seriously google her. Figure out if she's credible AT ALL and then drop it. Cuz it's likely she's not.

Ok, I've read the review, and I think you're taking this too personally. She does tell say that the play is "not to be missed". And she says that she thinks your acting was believable, just not as good as it could have been. Isn't that the way most actors feel about most of their performances?

As a fellow actress, whoever wrote that review can go suck a huge wang. Critics lead terrible, unfulfilling lives.

They also smell.

I like your blog, by the way.
