a shiny rock and band of metal

I posted these on the facebook this morning so I'm assuming that to most of (the hundreds of people who call themselves) my (loyal and adoring) readers, these are not new. If you are not on the facebook and therefore haven't seen these pictures, I am surprised, but more power to you.

Hey you guys! I'm getting married August 21st! Save the date.

25 April 2009

one of those days

Right now I'm snuggled under my queen-sized IKEA duvet that's so nice and cozy, especially since it's almost our queen-sized IKEA duvet, and it's gray gray gray and drizzly outside which might discourage some people, but I do love it on days like today when I have no where to go and nothing particular to do.

Of course I should do laundry, and I should put away my clothes, and I should dust and clean my room and the car, which I can't really call my car anymore because it's basically just our car together, and I should be applying for jobs, and finding us a place to live, and thinking very hard about not spending money, but instead I'm snuggled under my/our queen-sized duvet with my toes tucked under myself because, very typically, I'm not wearing socks even though my feet are cold.

I'm all folded into a ball around myself and it's very pleasant, except I'm thinking about how you're doing laundry just a few blocks away in your own apartment and I wish that you were doing laundry here, just downstairs in this apartment. If you were just downstairs, then you could bounce upstairs and dive in next to me with all kinds of silliness and tackling, and we could lounge at least a half an hour away under this duvet on such a gray gray day while we wait for the buzzer on the dryer to go off and you need to change over the next load. I wouldn't have to tuck my toes under myself because I could tuck them into you and you'd let me, even though you'd shiver for a second when you felt how cold they are, but it's not like you'd really be very surprised about that anyway.

The buzzer on the dryer really just went off, and for a second it made me smile because I thought maybe I'd hear your feet going pad pad pad up the stairs, but then my roommate calls up and asks if she can use a dryer sheet. You won't ever have to ask to use a dryer sheet because they'll be yours and mine and our dryer sheets together.

There's a bird chirping outside, even though it's raining. I am happy too.

introduction

This is Ames Bell.

Ames likes to act in plays...

...and sing songs in concerts...

...and tie quilts.

He is real cute.

I mean, look at his hot headshot, even though it's kind of old:

This is an even older headshot:

And maybe you're wondering if he used to look like Zack Morris?

Ames came home from his mission in Japan last August.

We met when he was in Aida at Hale Center Theater Orem.

Ames started dating me in Dec/Jan, depending how you look at it.

He came to my New Year's party.

I'm his #1 fan ever of all time.

We're getting married.
